A Simple Rule for Qualifying Customer Feedback

By July 8, 2021December 6th, 2022No Comments

When your best friend tells you that your top isn’t flattering, my guess is that you change your top. Right?

One person’s feedback is helpful and gives you enough to go on when it comes to your wardrobe.

Yet, when it comes to your business, taking one person’s feedback can have catastrophic effects.

You rush to change your product, you pivot here, you tweak there. Any change that you implement is costly – both in dollars and your time.

Listening to one person’s opinion WITHOUT taking immediate action is a practiced entrepreneurial skill. You get better at it the more you do it.

But there’s a rule to live by that will make your life just a little bit easier.

Enter: The Rule of 3

-If one person says it, it’s an opinion.
-If two people say it, it’s a coincidence.
-If three people say it, it’s a theme you should act on.

So, tell me, are you following this rule of 3? How do you keep your wits about you when it comes to hearing negative or critical feedback?
